We are Lifelink... a multi-faceted health and human service organization providing quality programs and services to people of all generations, cultures, religions, genders and socio-economic status.

We began as an orphanage and "old folks' home" in Bensenville, Illinois, caring for nine children and two elderly residents.  Throughout this last century our programs have evolved, and as society's needs changed we changed to meet the needs of the people we serve.  We have also stayed true to the mission set forth by our 13 founders - to provide compassionate services to those in need.  As we continue into our next 110 years of service, we will continue to impact the lives of the older adults, children and families we serve, and in turn impact the world around us.

Lifelink Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday

On December 20th, 2007, Florence Lewis, a resident of the Greencastle of Elmhurst Lifelink Housing facility, celebrated her 100th birthday.  Florence was also honored with a Proclamation from the City of Elmhurst naming December 20th as "Florence Lewis Day" in Elmhurst.  For further information and a photo of Florence's special day, please visit our Older Adult Services page.

Lifelink Grows Its International Adoption Program
BENSENVILLE, IL - November 6, 2007.  Lifelink President & CEO Rev. Timothy C. Rhodes today announced the 114-year-old human services provider has acquired the operations of the Family Counseling Center, Inc. of Mundelein, Illinois.  Lifelink also completed a partnership agreement with Haiti's Rivers of Hope Orphanage, to place Haitian children.  This follows the recent acquisition of the Intercountry Adoption Center, Inc. of Bradenton, Florida.

Did you know that our Older Adult Services division offers affordable housing to seniors?  Lifelink currently has 24 facilities throughout the Chicagoland area,  and in Kansas City, MO, Sarasota, FL and Port Richey, FL.  Twenty facilities serve the Chicago city and suburban areas of Cook and DuPage Counties. Each building is maintained to strict State and Federal standards.  A full 50% of our facilities just completed, on June 28th, 2007, major living unit remodeling and facilities updating and upgrades.  Five of our facilities are specially designed for, and restricted to, physically challenged adults who need that extra helping hand.  We are currently serving almost 5,000 residents in our facilities.
