AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR OLDER & PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED ADULTS

Lifelink began offering affordable, accessible apartments for older adults and physically challenged adults with limited resources in 1980.  Now, Lifelink currently owns/operates 24 housing communities for seniors and physically-challenged adults in the Chicagoland area, Kansas City, Missouri, and Sarasota and Port Richey, Florida.  Last year, we served almost 5,000 residents through our housing programs.

Lifelink's housing communities for older adult and physically-challenged adults with limited financial resources include the following locations:
Greencastle of Elmhurst, Illinois, a typical Lifelink housing facility, located in downtown Elmhurst, Illinois within walking distance of grocery, banking, shopping, specialty shops, dining and bus/rail transportation.
Castle Towers of Bensenville, Illinois, a Lifelink facility located on the beautiful campus of Lifelink Corporation in Bensenville, Illinois, close to shopping, dining and bus/rail transportation in downtown Bensenville.
Orchard Place, another Lifelink facility located in beautiful Sarasota, Florida, is one of our facilities dedicated exclusively to physically challenged residents.

  • There are often lengthy waiting lists for most facilities - in some cases, measured in years.  If you are interested in seeking residency at one of these facilities and will meet the residency requirements, you are encouraged to apply now (in advance of anticipated need, if possible) and get on the waiting list.

GREENCASTLE OF ELMHURST RESIDENT
CELEBRATES 100th BIRTHDAY
Thursday, December 20th, 2007 marked a very special day for Greencastle of Elmhurst resident Florence Lewis.  On this day, Florence not only celebrated her 100th birthday, but she was also honored by the City of Elmhurst.   Florence was presented with a Proclamation from the City of Elmhurst naming December 20th as Florence Lewis Day in Elmhurst.

Susan Sinderson, Vice-President of Lifelink Older Adult Services (pictured below with Florence) and the Lifelink Housing Staff members of Greencastle of Elmhurst were all on hand to help Florence celebrate her very special day.
